In the early 1990's Michael Galloway, president and CEO, founded what was to become webBASIS in 1996. Galloway understood that the Internet was already becoming the foundation for global communication. His vision was to create Web-based software applications to facilitate the use of the Internet for every facet of business and personal life.

When done correctly, a Web-based environment provides the same technology services most companies use now - only better, faster, cheaper and in a more reliable and secure manner. webBASIS has spent years developing application software, a unique data center design, the innovative Digital Desktop interface, IP Telephony, Unified Communications, encryption and virus scanning capabilities to build a One Source, One Number, One Network communications solution accessible anywhere, anytime, using any Web-enabled device.

webBASIS has a reputation built on long-standing client relationships like Catholic Online (www.catholic.org.), one of the world's largest Internet user networks. The first webBASIS e-mail system was developed when the company was known as EdgeMail Technologies, where the foundation for webBASIS' integrated Web-based software solutions was built. Our unique data center network was formulated in 1998 and was the first company to combine its own Web-based software servers with its Internet data center network capabilities.

During the year 2000, webBASIS completed the acquisition of Coresoft, in order to expand its product and service offerings to include a more advanced unified communications solution. webBASIS has incorporated its Coresoft technology, and with the cooperation of partners like Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems and Oracle, is now offering Next-Generation communications solutions that include our "One Number System" and IP Telephony services.
